Republic by Incore is set to become a vibrant hub where history, creativity, and community converge to empower businesses, foster innovation and cultivate community connection in the heart of Spotswood.

Republic honors its historic past while embracing modern possibilities. The repurposed heritage building retains its original charm, with distinctive features such as the unique Medieval-style facade, diamond-shaped windows, and a Gothic arch entrance. Originally the Bickford, Smith & Co explosives factory, built in 1911, the site is a significant landmark in the City of Hobsons Bay. Its rich history is beautifully preserved, offering a striking contrast to the dynamic businesses and creative ventures now calling Republic home.

FKD Studio transformed Republic’s historic charm into dynamic visuals, showcasing its creative spaces and vibrant community focus.

We partnered closely with our clients to thoughtfully design and render each unique warehouse space. From concept to completion, we collaborated on a range of functional yet inspiring environments—including a sleek car dealership, an artisanal coffee roaster, and a custom woodworking shop. Each space was tailored to reflect the distinct vision and operational needs of its tenant, resulting in a cohesive yet diverse industrial community.
